Our Stinger/NGSRI Program Quality Engineer (PQE) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) will support U.S. and foreign programs within the Stinger portfolio at our Tucson AZ location.

As the primary quality interface for the product Integrated Product Team (IPT) youll ensure the program meets all Quality & Mission Assurance requirements. This includes coordinating with functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and overseeing scope of work through all integrated product development phases from design to production and sustainment.

Youll develop and monitor quality metrics to drive proactive continuous improvement initiatives working closely with integrated teams to enforce process the program quality role you will support contract start-up activities production and sell-off. You will primarily engage our factories and suppliers implement quality processes to reduce overall product lifecycle cost and risk.

This is an on-site position in Tucson AZ.

What You Will Do:

  • Engage on both strategic and tactical levels focusing on quality cost and schedule performance early engagement influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.
  • Be the Quality POC interfacing across factories key suppliers and customers supporting technical quality and financial performance and compliance with Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Develop partnerships with senior leaders IPTs customers and quality functions of the program team to define steps necessary to implement proactive quality strategies that shape Raytheons ability to become the provider of choice.
  • Generation of new CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence) CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs/increase efficiency of the program.
  • Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Support issue resolutions and solutions to production.
  • Support implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning in accordance with AS9145 as applicable.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience leading teams in failure analysis root cause analysis corrective and preventative action.
  • Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Six Sigma Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications
  • Experienced team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Experience Reviewing Statement of Work (SOW) Corrective Action Requests (CAR)
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers
  • Experience presenting reviewing and/or approving changes through a formal Change Control Board (CCB).
  • Experience exercising sound judgement and making decisions with appropriate supervisory intervention.
  • Experience with Product Test Equipment development and production implementation.
  • Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management.
  • Experience translating system and contractual requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product assembly and test documentation.
  • Experience working with customers suppliers and in a team environment.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma lean manufacturing).
  • Experience using Process Re-invention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM) or SAP.
  • Experience in First Article Inspections per AS9102.

Employees who are working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

Clearance Information: Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website here: salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
