About the Department
The Service Business Line Spare Parts Excel Foundry & Machine focuses on delivering high-performance spare parts aftermarket solutions and services tailored to our mining customers most demanding operational needs. By combining technical expertise with customer-focused strategies we ensure uptime reliability and long-term value creation across the SAMER (South America Region).
Key Accountabilities
Drive sales of qualified projects contributing to business growth and profitability.
Lead preparation of project plans milestones and resources to deliver proposals that meet client expectations while ensuring favourable terms for FLSmidth.
Set direction for cross-functional teams to ensure proposals are complete competitive and aligned with customer needs.
Monitor project progress recommend corrective actions and ensure proposals are delivered on time.
Conduct client meetings representing technical and commercial aspects of the sales process.
Build and maintain strong networks inside and outside FLSmidth to identify and capture new opportunities.
Promote a culture of safety accountability and collaboration within the team and across stakeholders.
Manage a team of senior individual contributors and/or managers ensuring alignment to strategy and short-term operational objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum 10 years experience in mining aftermarket or industrial sales with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
Proven track record in project sales negotiation and contract management.
Strong understanding of mining equipment spare parts and service business dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and execute market penetration initiatives in South America.
Advanced English and Spanish (written and spoken).
Strong commercial acumen with experience influencing at senior customer levels.
