Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced neonatal Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team of highly experienced board-certified neonatologists and NNPs at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center and Emory Decatur Hospital.

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center Level III NICU (Snellville GA)

    • Our unit is an 18 Bed Level-III NICU that cares for over 200 premature babies annually
    • NNPs/PAs work in-house 24/7. Responsibilities will include providing medical management of critically ill neonates and Newborn Nursery care
    • Eastside Medical Center a Piedmont facility is a rapidly growing OB service line with over 1000 deliveries a year
    • The OB nursing team at Eastside has many years of practical as well as in-service education that maintains and updates their knowledge on mother/baby care
    • Eastside is a 310-bed multi-campus system that offers comprehensive medical and surgical programs including cardiovascular neurosciences oncology orthopedics rehabilitation behavioral health bariatric and 24 hour emergency care

Emory Decatur Hospital Level III NICU (Decatur GA)

    • Our practice is a 42-bed Level-III NICU with an ADC of 27
    • NNPs/PAs are provide 24/hour in-house coverage
    • Sub-specialty coverage is available.
    • NICU support services include neonatal respiratory therapy physical and occupational therapies and audiology services.
    • In addition to the prestigious Baby-Friendly designation Dekalb Medical Center (now Emory Decatur Hospital) was also awarded a 5-STAR Hospital Recognition from the Georgia Department of Public Health in 2015

Qualifications

  • Current certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Minimum of a masters degree
  • Neonatal Level lll NICU experience is required
