Our Global Device Development organisation is focused on the design development and commercialisation of a diverse portfolio of device technology solutions to enable delivery for our large and growing generic and branded products around the globe. We develop device technologies to enable drug-delivery for respiratory biologic biosimilar and injectable products and work across Viatris to support innovative technology solutions to provide healthcare solutions for our patients. We operate from 4 sites: Dublin Ireland Cambridge & Sandwich UK and Southpointe Pittsburgh USA. The Role & What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our Global Device Development Team team for a 12-month internship. This role offers hands-on experience in a laboratory environment supporting the development and testing of innovative drug delivery devices. You will work alongside experienced professionals contributing to product testing documentation and daily lab operations

Every day we rise to the challenge to make a difference and heres how the Laboratory Intern Device and Product Performance (12 months) role will make an impact:

  • Assist in the setup execution and documentation of medical device tests in accordance with internal protocols and regulatory standards (e.g. ISO FDA).

  • Assist with the team to support equipment qualifications vendor calibrations and preventative maintenance in line with the laboratory qualification and preventative maintenance schedule.

  • Document test procedures and results accurately and maintain detailed laboratory records.

  • Perform data collection entry verification and preliminary analysis under supervision.

  • Assist in coordination of laboratory instrument calibrations and service contracts.

  • Assist in sample management activities including shipping of samples.

  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies while working in the lab.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role were looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications skills and experiences:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Biomedical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Life Sciences or a related technical field.

  • Strong interest in medical technology and laboratory work.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook).
