Job Summary

Position Description


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To facilitate and coordinate activities which carry out organizational objectives and to utilize knowledge of the District Clerks rules regulations and policies.
  • To achieve optimum efficiency and accomplish the goals of the District Clerks Office as outlined in the organizational Strategic Plan and Mission Statement.
  • The Senior Accounting Clerk will assist with Accounting and Court Registry related tasks.
  • Responsibilities include setting up registry accounts based on information outlined in the court order.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality with regards to handling sensitive data.
  • Employees must be able to handle large sums of money with 100% accuracy and pay close attention to detail.
  • Examines legal documents submitted to court for adherence to court registry procedures.

Requirements

All applicants must register and take the HRT Clerical Skills Test and score a minimum of 80% with a typing speed of 35 W.P.M. and 80% accuracy.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution
  • Two (2) years related experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Keyboards at 35 words per minute.
  • Must be capable of working under stress and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work overtime without prior notice and flexible hours as required.
  • Reports to work on time seldom calls in unexpectedly and maintains a good attendance record.
  • Must be willing to travel to any destination required to participate or assist with office projects.
  • Must be able to maneuver including lifting and moving a minimum of thirty (30) pounds.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have cash handling experience.
  • Handles customers and difficult situations in a cooperative polite courteous and helpful manner.
  • Produces high-quality and accurate work.
  • Must be able to work without direct supervision have excellent analytical decision-making prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Works cooperatively with others and contributes to the group with ideas information and effort.
  • Must be proficient and comfortable processing data and communication in various Microsoft and related electronic database systems.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of work related information and data exposure.
  • Must be willing to participate in training and assume responsibilities and related assignments in all sections within the Accounting Division being Passports Accounting Court Registry and Billing.
  • Testing will be required (Grammar 80% Typing 35 words per minute with 80% accuracy)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or must be eligible for employment in the United States.
