- Build upon and integrate customer feedback both internal and external into our API tooling and services.
- Create new architectural foundations and mission critical distributed systems while collaborating with other teams.
- Work within an agile scrum-based engineering team reporting to the Senior Manager of Core Services.
- Uphold the highest levels of customer satisfaction in all things you do.
- Advocate create and maintain API governance across engineering through collaboration automation and outreach.
- Own integrations within our API Gateway layer and API lifecycles from design to production.
- Identify improvements to the design and implementation of various new and existing critical shared services.
- Help to grow our infrastructure engineering organizations shared services relied upon by other engineering teams to accelerate product development.
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of API standards design approaches and integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of CAP Theorem and distributed systems design patterns.
- Proficient with TypeScript.
- Proficient with Golang.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong consideration for developer experience in everything you build.
- Pragmatic approach to software design development & delivery.
- Experience working with Kafka and related event based patterns.
- Experience working with and designing Backend for Frontend (BFF) patterns
- Experience working with modern AI technologies specifically MCP protocol and standards
