Engineering Internship Automatization of Functional Safety Managers tasks
Context
The NXP Automotive business unit is responsible for developing integrated circuits for connected vehicles covering areas such as in-vehicle networking automotive lighting infotainment and audio automotive power and radar.
The 77GHz radar development team based in Toulouse oversees the development of automotive Transceiver/SOC ICs used in short- and long-range applications enabling use cases from parking assistance to cruise control collision avoidance and eventually autonomous driving.
We are looking for a final-year engineering or masters student for a 6-month internship to work in collaboration with the functional safety team and the project team.
Functional safety is one of the key requirements in the development of electronic circuits for automotive applications. It involves analyzing potential circuit failures that could impact driver safety in order to mitigate their effects. This must be done following a development process defined by the ISO 26262 standard and supervised by the safety manager throughout the project.
The goal of this internship is to define and explore possibilities for automating the safety managers routine tasks (such as drafting safety deliverables reporting etc.) using artificial intelligence tools (e.g. Copilot).
