About the role:

As a Senior EP you will have a key role in supporting the Principal Educational Psychologist. You will work collaboratively as part of the senior leadership team to develop and support service delivery strategic planning and LA initiatives as well as providing supervision for Educational Psychologists.

The Senior (Statutory) role includes:

  • Representing the service at LA and multidisciplinary panels
  • Supervision of EPs working in the EP team
  • Working closely with the SEND Team to support the SEND Statutory process

You will have at least three years experience as a qualified Educational Psychologist and registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Applications from candidates who wish to work part-time are welcomed.

The London Borough of Waltham Forest offers a recruitment and retention bonus of 2000 paid annually (subject to conditions) to new Educational Psychologists joining the team. Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialist advice guidance and support on issues within your area of responsibility; develop and maintain joint working and promote the Council position.

To keep up to date with relevant legislation and guidance and its implications for the work of an Educational Psychologist both generically and for those with a particular area of responsibility.

To develop specialist resources and training for schools LA and community which contribute to raising outcomes for children

Supervision of EPs / TEPs

Qualifications and Requirements:

To be considered for this position you should meet the following requirements:

MSc or Doctorate in Educational Psychology

You will have at least three years experience as a qualified Educational Psychologist and registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
