Job Description

Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship at Mount C of E Primary School



We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and eager to begin a rewarding career in education.



You will work under the guidance of teaching staff to support pupils learning and development in the classroom in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. As part of our nurturing environment you will help children grow in confidence independence and self-esteem while promoting the schools Christian ethos of kindness respect and inclusion.



Apprenticeship Overview:


  • Salary:7.55 an hourAutomatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19 year olds
  • Working Week:Monday to Friday 8:45am till 3:45pm with a 30-minute lunch break
  • Hours: 32.5 hours per week
  • Duration:18 months
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant SEND Pathway Apprenticeship standard qualification
  • Online training supported by our dedicated tutor
  • Placement Location: Kings Road Newark Nottinghamshire NG24 1EW

The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Teaching Assistant SEND Apprenticeship standard qualification.

Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship program. Depending on the apprentices needs the frequency of these sessions may vary.

Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Mount C of E Primary School is a warm welcoming and inclusive Church of England academy located in Newark-on-Trent. With around 200 pupils aged 311 we pride ourselves on being a small school with a strong sense of community.
