MLOPS Engineer

PeopleCertis seeking a MLOps Engineer who will ensure that PeopleCerts AI models run reliably securely and at scale in production. Youll design and maintain the pipelines that allow models to be trained deployed monitored and continuously improved. Your mission is to turn prototypes into trusted enterprise services and to keep them healthy once theyre live.

As a MLOps Engineer your tasks will include the following:

• Design implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML models.

• Automate deployment workflows for training testing and serving models in enterprise environments.

• Set up monitoring and observability frameworks to detect model drift bias and performance degradation.

• Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers to transition models from prototype to production.

• Optimize infrastructure for scalability performance and cost efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise security data protection and regulatory requirements.

• Document workflows and establish best practices for AI operations.

What we look for:

• Academic Background in Computer Science Engineering or a related field; a Masters degree or higher will be considered a plus.
• 3 years proven experience with MLOps frameworks (MLflow Kubeflow or equivalent).
• Strong skills in containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).
• Solid background in CI/CD DevOps or platform engineering applied to ML systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and model lifecycle management.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python Bash or equivalent).
• Ability to collaborate across engineering data and product teams.
• Excellent knowledge of English (C2 level certification desired LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus) Extra languages desired.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with feature stores and data versioning tools.

• Familiarity with large-scale enterprise application environments (ERP CRM digital platforms).

• Knowledge of responsible AI practices including audit logging and explainability frameworks.

• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK background checks will include:

• A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check

• Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality identity and place of residence)

• HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)

• Financial background check

• Employment reference check.

• If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) the official language of the relevant country.
