Our client is looking for a Quality Engineer. They are a foundry operation making parts for aerospace defense and other industries. The company is located between Madison and Milwaukee. What they will be doing:
Review purchase order drawings and specification requirements and specifications focused on negotiation of customer requirements forward-thinking product quality planning and translation of requirements to operations. Maintain compliance of products to these requirements.
Maintenance and improvement of Quality Management System and related software systems.
Work with Operations Engineering and Sales departments to support customer needs and product throughput. Interact directly with customers and suppliers.
Develop maintain and implement quality procedures and work instructions in compliance to customer and specification requirements.
Conduct audits to assure compliance to quality system processes and schedules.
Ensure customer verification and acceptance completed (FAI PPAP or pre-production requirements)
What they are looking for:
- Bachelors degree in engineering quality management statistics or related course of study with 5 years of manufacturing quality experience.
Experience with ISO9000 / AS9100 or other high compliance standards (defense aerospace or similar) is needed
Experience with auditing including internal and supplier audits as well as complying with customer audits
Any experience with investment casting metal manufacturing & machining heat treating or non-destructive testing (NDT) is desired
Experience with lean manufacturing Six Sigma PPAP FMEA or root cause analysis is helpful
