Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)- Travel Position
Location: Oconomowoc WI
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10s Nights
Pay: $2625/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The OR RN is a crucial member of the perioperative team responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients before during and after surgical procedures. This role requires an in-depth understanding of surgical protocols a keen eye for detail and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures ensuring all necessary instruments equipment and supplies are available.
- Serve as a circulator or scrub nurse anticipating the needs of the surgical team and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Monitor the patients condition throughout the procedure including vital signs and fluid balance.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all patient care interventions and surgical counts.
- Adhere strictly to all surgical protocols sterility standards and safety procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons anesthesiologists and other OR staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Wisconsin.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent recent OR nursing experience.
- COVID vaccine and recent TB test are required.
