Junior CyberSecurity Analyst
Role Requirements
Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience and Skills:
-
1-3 years of experience in a similar (security-related) role
-
Knowledge of Information Technology and Application Security

Skills in Cybersecurity Information Security and Network Security
-
Strong typing and software usage skills (e.g. Diagrams Excel Word)
-
Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills
Outputs / Key Performance Areas
1. Security Monitoring and Incident Response
-
Monitor security alerts logs and system events using SIEM tools
-
Assist with the implementation of additional toolsets
-
Investigate and document security incidents
2. Vulnerability Management
-
Support regular vulnerability scans and assessments
-
Track report and verify remediation efforts
-
Document vulnerabilities and maintain up-to-date records
3. Security Tools and Systems Administration
-
Support configuration and maintenance of endpoint protection firewalls and IDS/IPS
-
Assist with managing user access controls in line with policies
4. Compliance and Policy Support

Assist with audits by providing requested evidence and documentation
-
Help maintain and enforce security policies and procedures
-
Support staff awareness and training initiatives
5. Continuous Learning and Development

Stay updated with emerging cyber threats vulnerabilities and best practices

Participate in training certifications and knowledge-sharing

Contribute to process improvements in security operations
