IT Lead Infrastructure Transformation

Global Infrastructure delivers and manage a cohesive and resilient infrastructure ecosystem globally that encompasses Hybrid Cloud (Private/Public) Data Centers networking middleware PaaS and IaaS capabilities enabling seamless integration and optimized performance to support the organizations strategic goals and operational needs to serve our customers across the globe.

In the role of IT Lead Infrastructure Transformation for ING you will be responsible to strategize and deliver the transformation towards a cloud and AI enabled architecture across ING. You will partner with the providers of global and local capabilities to ensure the coherent evolution of those and their rapid go to market to support a fast paced evolution of business applications and services towards a Cloud and AI enabled vision. This is the foundation of INGs Scalable Technology Platform that enables ING to operate as one and boost the speed quality and security of delivering business applications across all market. Your purposed is to turn cloud potential into business performance making sure the digital foundation is strong enough to support growth agility and transformation.

The team

We are looking for an experienced and inspiring IT Lead within Global Infrastructure. You will lead a diverse team of highly skilled Engineering Managers and Engineers where we expect all the people within the Squads to have the confidence to take responsibility when it comes to realizing value for ING consumers and ING customers. You act as an ambassador for IT to all stakeholders within or outside of Global Infrastructure through frequent interaction and alignment. You are part of the Global Infrastructure Management team reporting directly to the Head of Global Infrastructure.

Roles and responsibilities

• Cultivate strong working relationships with stakeholders across CTO and Business as well as members of the global and local Tech community.
• Drive innovation by leading the architecting and development of new ideas solutions and services through decisive actions.
• Advocacy for cloud engineering across engineering communities presenting on stage conferences seen as an authority in this field of expertise.
• Lead the adoption of INGs Way of Working enhancing the IT maturity in practices processes and engineering.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Engage and develop ING staff fostering craftmanship to maintain a highly skilled and motivated workforce.

How to succeed

• Masters degree in computer science or comparable work experience.
• Knowledge and experience of building and implementing hybrid cloud platforms.
• Experienced IT leader with 6-10 years experience in IT management roles and total 15-20 years of experience.
• Proven track record in finding growing and promoting talent.
• Knowledge of Cloud architectures service delivery models and SRE principles.
• Deep engineering skills allowing to rapidly prototype pilot and prove feasibility of solutions in the field of IaaS PaaS and cloud automation.
• You stay on top of the trends as technology changes and have a strong technical vision for the future.
• Taking a scientific approach in solving problems.
• Proven track record in managing key vendors.
• Proven experience in complex stakeholder management including senior management and C-suite level.
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills to work seamlessly with ease with your business stakeholders.
