Job Summary

General Responsibilities Across All Levels

Design and implement curriculum aligned with state and national music education standards.
Maintain accurate student records grades and assessments.
Manage the care maintenance and inventory of instruments uniforms and equipment.
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student growth teamwork and respect.
Communicate effectively with parents colleagues and administrators.
Model and uphold high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Music Education or related field (Masters preferred).
Valid state teaching license/certification in Music.
Demonstrated proficiency in instrumental performance and conducting.
Experience in teaching and directing students across multiple grade levels preferred.
Strong organizational communication and leadership skills.

Working Conditions

Requires evening and weekend commitments for rehearsals performances and competitions.
Involves supervision of students during travel events and activities.
Physical ability to carry set up and move equipment as needed.
