Health Room Coordinator (St. Anthony School)
Summary:
St. Anthony School is seeking a Health Room Coordinator to serve as a primary point of contact for health and safety within our school performing duties such as applying the necessary first aid measures for students and staff dispensing medications contacting parents as necessary for injuries or incidents and overall helping our school provide a safe learning environment for our nearly 400 students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Tend to sick and injured students daily Dispense medications to students per instructions
Assist teachers with medical needs prior to camps and extended trips
Maintain injury reports and medical information records
Report any mandated requirements to the Department of Health
Provide first aid to injured staff members and complete necessary injury reports for employees
Manage paperwork and supplies in Disaster Container: Change out expired medicines food
Review playground and school for safety issues
Maintain first aid kits AEDs and Blood Borne Pathogen kits
Maintain classroom emergency backpacks for supplies and paperwork
Meet with parents and teachers of diabetic students to develop and implement health care plan
Verify immunization status of students and communicate compliance with parents
Assist and lead staff training on emergency preparedness and health-related topics
Schedule and prepare for vision and hearing screenings
Update and distribute Student Medical Condition List to teachers and staff
Order supplies for Health Room
Review playground and school for safety issues
Complete Head Injury Letters as needed for head injuries
Provide updates to principal regarding student health issues and school safety matters
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1. The ability to interact positively and patiently with students staff and families.
2. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and flexibility.
3. Successful completion of a background check.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
5. Able to meet the nursing skill levels required of assessment and management of child injuries.
6. Able to meet the physical demands of providing care to students including lifting childrenand moving throughout the school on a daily basis.
Benefits / Hours:
This role is a non-benefited part-time position of 25-28 hours / week. The hourly rate range is $26 - $32/hour. Any offered salary / rate is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.
