We are seeking a B3 dedicated Strategic Stakeholder Engagement Manager to help strengthen our connections with stakeholders and partners. Your expertise will help us build trusted relationships enhancing our reputation and supporting improved operational outcomes.
This B3 Senior Stakeholder Manager will be a pivotal member of the team and cadre of B3 colleagues in coordinating sectoral support and activity for stakeholders and partners. You will also support and advise senior colleagues. You will identify and exploit opportunities as well as pre-empting and mitigating challenges.
You will ensure appropriate strategies tools and mapping are in place to understand and track stakeholder concerns and sentiment and develop and deliver appropriate strategies tactics and plans to ensure successful engagement informed by insight and evidence with key audiences.
The Strategic Stakeholder Engagement Team within the Briefing and Engagement Branch plays a critical role in the development and co-ordination of our engagement activity with stakeholders and partners. This work to ensure the right people have the necessary information about our benefits and activities at the right time directly helps the delivery of strategic organisational goals.
The team works with colleagues at all levels across the organisation and Scottish Government to update and deliver our quarterly stakeholder engagement plan. Led by insight and evidence this has a particular focus on Executive Team engagement with a range of stakeholders and partners to maintain a strong reputation and relationships and help us provide appropriate information to clients. The team will also help gather insight and intelligence on emerging issues and trends and use this information to improve relationships our reputation and operational delivery.
Responsibilities
Ensure appropriate strategies tools and mapping are in place to understand stakeholder concerns and ensure development and delivery of activity to meet objectives and support and advise senior colleagues.
Lead on day-to-day engagement with sectoral stakeholder and partner interests.
Provide support and advice to junior colleagues and manage the activity of the team day to day.
Provide advice on emerging risks and issues.

Experience
1. Proven experience in supporting stakeholders and/or partners to achieve strategic objectives with a strong understanding of their motivations and concerns.
2. Demonstrated ability to plan and execute activities that contribute to the successful delivery of organisational goals in a fast-paced environment.
3. Experience working within a large or high-profile organisation showcasing a track record as a collaborative team player who can also operate independently and efficiently.

Working pattern
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum 2 days per week in your assigned location which will be either Glasgow or Dundee. This role is only available to existing permanent civil servants who have successfully completed their probation period within Social Security Scotland or the broader Scottish Government.
