Job Description

SUMMARY: Loads unloads and delivers Auto products to customers in a safe accurate and courteous timely manner.

Very Important Information if you applying for this job:

  • You must be over21 years old due to insurance requirements.
  • No special Driver License required.
  • A clean license is required for at least the past 42 months we run anMVR
  • A valid license with a minimum of 3 years driving history
  • A Drug test is required for this positionThis position is considered asafety sensitiveposition
  • Must be able to drive a Mid Sized Roof Ford Transit 250

Our drivers are responsible for loading and unloading their vans. We sell body parts such as hoods fenders grilles headlights etc. These parts can weigh anywhere from a few ounces to 80 lbs. The size of the parts varies from a door handle to a hood. Please keep these things in mind when you apply.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Unloads daily morning stock and special order deliveriesthat come in from warehouse
  • Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of all full and empty bins
  • Scans and Restocks daily stock deliveries
  • Post in daily stock and special order deliveries
  • Loads and unloads automotive parts deliveries.
  • Delivers automotive parts to customers
  • Must be able to lift push carry load and unload automotive part deliveries of all sizes and weight. Parts may range in the weight from .01lbs to max of 80 pounds
  • Picks up automotive parts from suppliers and securing and transporting in a safe manner.
  • Cleans and maintains company vehicle on a daily basis and when necessary.
  • Performs all deliveries while following all vehicle state laws and driving in a safe manner.
  • Observes all traffic laws and posted speed limits
  • Relays all customer concerns to management.
  • Interacts with the customer in a professional manner
  • Fills delivery vehicle with gas using provided company gas card.
  • Solves customer concerns while out in the field.
  • Collects required signatures for payment proof of delivery and gives receipt to customer
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management during down times.
  • Performs simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of vehicle checking lights checking tires filling fluids schedule routine maintenance to keep vehicle running properly.
  • Maintains a neat clean personal appearance
  • Must get all pertinent information if involved in an accident and inform appropriate company official
  • Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • No prior experience or training.
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers peers and management
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions parts catalogs and procedure manuals
  • Use basic math accurately: add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to type and use computer
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Versatility flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Must be responsible in collecting cash checks or credit cards from customers when parts are delivered
  • Ability to use navigation system or google maps provided by company
