Inova Fairfax Medical Campus - Behavioral Health department is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist II to join the Therapist will facilitate group therapy sessions; provide individual therapy to patients; complete psychosocial assessments; develop implement and update individualized safety plans; participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings; maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards; provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed. This role will be Fulltime shift: Mon- Fri every other weekend 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.

Behavioral Health Therapist I Job Responsibilities:
- Provides a range of mental health and/or substance use disorders therapeutic interventions psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
- May participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs facilitate support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health medical diagnosis chronic or life-limited illnesses while assisting with community outreach.
- Duties will be performed under the clinical supervision of an approved clinical supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:Masters degree Ph.D. PsyD EdD in mental health social work counseling psychology or behavioral health-related field
- Experience: Internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment completed within 90 days of employment.
- Certification: Basic Life Support Within 3 Months. CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
- Licensure: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP) within 5 years. Must comply with the appropriate licensing board requirement for registering as a Resident in Training or Supervisee in Clinical Social Work or applicable title identified by the specific licensing board within 4 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
