Position Overview
The maintenance technician position will perform diverse responsibilities to install troubleshoot repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety Calibration & Preventative Maintenance processes and to ensure equipment in maintained in a validated state. You will provide both service and support to internal customers. The responsibilities for this position include installation of plant and production equipment maintaining equipment troubleshooting/diagnose equipment problems providing service for unscheduled repairs/maintenance and help complete equipment our business it is important you can demonstrate a understanding of the importance of documentation.
Basic Background Requirements
You will need:
- Experience in Medical Device manufacturing
- Two year technical degree or 2 years of experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in troubleshooting technical issues (Electrical & Mechanical)
- Experience maintaining equipment
- Experience with equipment qualifications
- The ability to work with production associates and other technicians or with great independence
- Maintain general knowledge of the certification and regulatory requirements contained in ISO-13485 and FDA CFR/GMP Medical Device Regulation
Key Performance Objectives
Short Term: (0 to 3 months)
- Learn KEIND Quality system requirements
- Build relationships with Engineering and Operations team members
- Learn Calibration & Maintenance Program
- Familiarize yourself with processes and equipment
- Support& maintain equipment
- Learn and adopt Kimball Electronics philosophies and culture
Midterm: (3 to 6 months)
- Accountable for maintenance activity
- Learn ERP system basic job tasks (Create reports & work orders)
- Have understanding of program and system
Long term: (6 to 12 months)
- Learn coordinator responsibilities to serve as a back-up
- Train other production technicians on maintaining equipment
