Why this role matters
As a Senior SRE youll play a central role in the reliability deployment and continuous operation of Ivantis cloud services. Your work will directly impact the performance security and scalability of products trusted by organizations everywhere. Collaborating across Engineering Security and Support teams youll help elevate the quality and customer experience of Ivantis solutionsand mentor others as you grow your career in a supportive agile environment.
What youll do
Deploy manage and secure Ivantis SaaS environments across AWS and Azure
Work with cross-functional geographically distributed teams to resolve complex technical challenges
Automate repetitive tasks and streamline operational workflows
Write and update documentation and training materials; train colleagues
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation in a global follow-the-sun support model
Troubleshoot issues with applications networks storage and cloud infrastructure
Configure monitoring tools and deployment pipelines continuously driving infrastructure improvements
What you will bring
Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related field
5 years of relevant industry experience
Strong proficiency in Python plus one of Java Golang or C#
Programmatic skills in Bash or PowerShell
Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure public cloud platforms
Experience troubleshooting Java applications as well as network/storage infrastructure
Deep knowledge of Linux (Debian RHEL SUSE Slackware) and Windows environments
Experience with SQL Server PostgreSQL Redis Kafka MongoDB Elasticsearch or similar databases
Ability to configure/provision web servers (HA Proxy Apache Nginx IIS etc.)
Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic DataDog Splunk etc.)
Skills in container orchestration (AWS EKS or Azure AKS) deployment pipeline tools (Ansible Jenkins GitHub Actions) and IaC development
Eagerness to embrace new technologies and best practices
Excellent communication skills for collaborating across global teams
Nice-to-haves:
Prior experience as a Site Reliability or DevOps Engineer
Relevant certificates in cloud Kubernetes Linux or software engineering disciplines
Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC 2 ISO-27001 FedRAMP IRAP) and privacy regulations (GDPR PIPEDA)
