The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Operations Service / Office of Internal Control & Compliance.
The Office of Internal Controls & Compliance focuses on providing management with independent objective assurance designed to add value and improve the effectiveness of the department operations processes and internal controls. Compliance Specialists evaluate test and monitor federal program compliance requirements and internal controls. They prepare reports and communicate testing results and findings to management and applicable program staff throughout the department. The Compliance Specialists follow-up on Corrective Action Plans and findings to ensure corrections are made and/or to assist in determining corrective action. The Specialists evaluate monitor and work to improve the effectiveness of risk management compliance and governance processes across DPHHS. The position makes recommendations to management for process improvements.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
Knowledge of Single Audits and SOC Reports.
Knowledge of analytical procedures in evaluating transactions.
Ability to create testing worksheets and compile data
Ability to test and evaluate compliance with federal regulations and state laws
Meet minimum qualifications:
Bachelors in accounting finance business administration or related field
2 years of directly related experience
Alternative combinations of related education or experience may be considered. Such as a related associates degree and 3 years of related experience; OR 5 years of related experience.
