RN Clinical Nurse SpecialistManages individualized goal-directed nursing care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Develops and implements plan of care and ensures quality assurance. Makes initial and ongoing assessment of the patient needs identifies changes and trends in various physical and emotional parameters to ensure expected outcomes. Provides clinical leadership and expertise in a specialty. Facilitates excellence in nursing practice through mentoring and education at the bedside staff meetings and select committees. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with ancillary personnel utilizing professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
