We are currently looking for GM Service Technicians.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses maintains and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning.
- Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Communicates directly with the Service Advisor and provides an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and every 5th Saturday from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Required License/Certification:
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Two years experience as an Automotive Technician or more
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
Preferred Education and Experience
- Three or more years experience as an Automotive Technician
- In order to qualify for hiring bonus must have ASE or similar technical certifications
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for 10 hours or more
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
Work Environment:This job operates within an automotive dealership service department. This role routinely uses machinery equipment and chemicals to maintenance and repair automobiles.Sommers is a drug free work place.
