7 to 10 years in Herbal and/or Veterinary Science Manufacturing
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Production Manager to oversee and manage production operations of herbal extracts veterinary formulations and other allied products. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient plant operations while maintaining product quality safety and compliance with GMP standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Execution
Develop and implement daily weekly and monthly production schedules.
Manage machine loading allocate resources effectively and monitor production targets.
2. GMP Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to GMP standards in production activities including documentation such as Manufacturing Formula Records (MFR) and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
Maintain cleanliness and order in the production area in accordance with GMP requirements.
3. Process Optimization & Maintenance
Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements to enhance productivity efficiency and product quality.
Execute preventive maintenance of all production equipment as per schedule.
4. Equipment Handling & Technical Expertise
Possess working knowledge and hands-on experience with equipment such as:
Vertical Extractor
Vertical Evaporator
Filtration Systems
Rotational Vacuum Paddle Dryer
Vacuum Tray Dryer
Cooling Tower & Chiller
Multi-milling and Shifter
Blender
Liquid Filling Machine
R.O. & ETP Plant
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate production records reports and KPIs.
Ensure online documentation is completed timely and correctly.
6. Staff & Operations Management
Supervise and manage production staff.
Conduct regular training to enhance team performance.
Ensure a safe and efficient working environment on the shop floor.
7. Technical & Regulatory Compliance
Handle deviations change controls and technical inquiries related to plant operations.
Ensure all operations meet regulatory and industry standards.
Required Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Problem-solving aptitude
Knowledge of GMP practices
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word)
Industry Context:
Production of herbal extracts powders liquids and various formulations used in nutraceuticals and ayurvedic medicines.
End-to-end management of manufacturing lifecycle: Raw material handling Processing Packaging.
