Job Summary

The Accounting Manager will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department and ensuring financial accuracy transparency and compliance across the organization. This individual will be responsible for delivering timely and GAAP-compliant reporting maintaining strong internal controls and driving process improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability. As both a hands-on contributor and team leader the Accounting Manager will mentor and develop accounting staff partner closely with divisional leadership and operations and provide the financial insights needed to support strategic business decisions.

What Youll Do:

Lead and manage daily accounting operations including general ledger reconciliations journal entries and month-end close activities
Prepare review and analyze GAAP-compliant financial statements balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
Manage coach and develop a high-performing accounting team fostering a culture of accountability accuracy and continuous improvement
Partner cross-functionally with FP&A operations and divisional leaders to support budgeting forecasting variance analysis and operational decision-making
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards company policies and regulatory requirements
Design implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity
Identify and lead process improvements automation opportunities and system enhancements to drive efficiency and scalability in accounting operations
Support external audit requirements and act as a key liaison with auditors and other external stakeholders

What Youll Bring:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation required (MBA or Masters a plus)
57 years of progressive accounting experience ideally including public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and corporate accounting leadership
Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven ability to prepare and review GAAP financial statements
Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle SAP NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel/financial modeling skills
Demonstrated ability to lead mentor and develop a team while also being hands-on in day-to-day accounting tasks
Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Skilled communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Adaptable proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced high-growth and evolving environment
