- Hours: 17.5 hours per week (8.30am 12pm daily)

Weare looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to teach in our Reception/Year 1 and Year 1/Year 2 class. This will support us to split the children into their separate year groups for maths and phonics. There may be need to cover a class during periods of short-term absence. When whole class cover is not required you will provide support to raise standards of achievement for all pupils by working in class with individuals or groups of pupils.
You will:
- have the Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent experience and suitable qualifications in English and Mathematics
- be experienced in working in a primary school setting
- have regularly delivered whole class or group teaching both from own and school planning
- be confident in positive classroom management
- have a good understanding of how children learn and can be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the children
- be able to model excellent communication and liaise closely with teachers and other staff
- have good literacy numeracy and ICT skills.
