Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team in the main production kitchen located in Redfern. This is a permanent full-time position within our catering team working primarily in the production area.

The Role

  • Demonstrate your culinary talents passion and flair for an award-winning caterer
  • Work closely with the Executive and Head Chefs to ensure the current quantities of food production in the kitchen.
  • Ensure recipes are followed and that overall completion of tasks is at the highest of standard
  • Supervise staff under guidance and ensure work is completed in a sage and competent manner
  • Foster and encourage a collaborative work environment
  • Practice correct methods of cooking preparation cooling storage cleaning and hygiene

About You

  • Qualifications in Cert III Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Experience in a production kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for cooking and be open to learning new skills in the kitchen
  • Supervisory experience
  • Great work ethic and good attitude
  • Valid full time working rights in Australia
