Job Description
Job Title: US Tax Associate
About the Client: A New York-based CPA firm dedicated to supporting start-ups entrepreneurs and small businesses. Overview: We are seeking a Tax Associate to join our this role you will assist with tax preparation and provide support for various tax-related tasks. This position is ideal for someone with foundational tax knowledge who is eager to grow in the field.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing tax returns for businesses and individuals.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
Provide basic tax advice and support to clients under supervision.
Conduct tax research to stay informed on changing tax laws.
Support in tax planning to minimize liabilities.
Maintain organized tax documentation and records.
Assist in audits and respond to tax-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of experience in tax preparation.
Basic understanding of US tax laws.
Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with tax software (Quickbooks knowledge is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
