Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT: Assistant Director of Special Education Elementary Schools (Pre K 5) It is requested that the following information be brought to the attention of all teaching and administrative personnel in the Brockton Public : DESE Certification as an Administrator of Special least five years of successful teaching and/or leadership experience in the administration of Special Education for students in early childhood and pre-kindergarten programs services and knowledge of disability types accommodations modifications adaptations and specialized with MA Curriculum Frameworks and district curriculum programs/ADL and knowledge of MCAS Portfolio in developing and providing program leadership skills in organization developing goals best instructional practices communication problem solving and : the implementation of Special Education Regulation and current in Special Education Law instructional practices and assessment and evaluate Special Education Coordinators and teachers as assigned. for program development and evaluation of special education programming designed for eligible students at the assigned on a regular basis with elementary school principals service providers such as behavioral specialists psychologists vision/mobility instructors hearing/ with the Associate Director Assistant Directors of Special Education and Special Education Coordinators in the provision of free and appropriate education in the least restrictive environment for students with in the screening and interviewing of new teaching faculty and support and provide professional development and workshop communications and working relationships with parents outside agencies and community in developing program goals budget and writing of for and attend any required meetings and/or the Associate Director of Exceptional Learning at meetings and conferences as other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Exceptional :1.30 ratio/11 monthsWorkday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 to: Associate Director of Exceptional LearningPlease include a resume letter of intent and certifications.
