Our client is a leader in the Scientific Data and AI Cloud space driving the Scientific AI revolution by creating AI-native scientific data sets and transforming them into next-generation lab data solutions scientific use cases and AI-enabled outcomes.
They are recognized as the category leader in this emerging market partnering with the worlds top players in compute cloud data and AI infrastructure.

What You Will Do

Design develop train and validate AI/ML products

Support and advise executive leadership regarding technical and commercial feasibility

Work with commercial teams to understand the impact of AI in life sciences

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build products

The core of our clients mission is helping pharmaceutical companies organize contextualize and make their data accessible. This allows the Applied AI team to focus on building tools to solve problems rather than on data preparation (the data is already AI-ready).
They are looking for people who want to use their skills to have an outsized impact by building tools to accelerate the drug discovery process not just for one company but for many at once.
Current projects where leadership is needed include:

ML-reinforcement learning with large continuous datasets

NLP tools to ingest and contextualize documents/reports

Protein design/optimization and diffusion models
While the team actively shares knowledge and best practices this role requires independence and the technical expertise to develop AI/ML applications in at least one of these areas.
Requirements
You will be a critical team member in a unique partnership to industrialize Scientific AI. As such you will engage directly with customers on-site up to 45 days per week in the Boston region.

Advanced degree in Biological Data or Computer Science

10 years of AI/ML development experience or 5 years developing AI/ML tools for commercial life sciences healthcare or regulated environments

Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of AI/ML products

Proven track record of deploying AI models addressing real-world problems

Superior talent in at least one of: ML-Reinforcement Learning LLM/NLP or Protein Design/Diffusion Models
Preferred Qualifications

Degree in AI or ML

Deep understanding of hurdles facing pharmaceutical drug development

Demonstrated ability to create productized applications (for use by multiple groups)

Excellent communication skills

Ability to advocate and evangelize for AI initiatives internally and externally

Experience collaborating with teams on large software projects
