Job Summary
Position Summary / Essential Functions:
Schedule Development & Management
- Develop and publish daily weekly and monthly production schedules.
- Optimize production sequences to minimize changeovers maximize throughput and ensure efficient utilization of machinery (e.g. roll formers welding stations assembly lines and crating).
- Adjust schedules proactively in response to unforeseen events such as material shortages equipment breakdowns quality issues parts orders or expedited customer requests.
Material Coordination
- Collaborate closely with the Purchasing and Inventory Control teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor material readiness and communicate potential delays or impacts on the production schedule.
Capacity Planning
- Work with Production Supervisors and the Supply Chain & Operations Manager to understand current and future production capabilities labor availability and equipment constraints.
- Identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions to optimize flow and meet production targets.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report on key production metrics including schedule adherence on-time delivery (OTD) production efficiency and capacity utilization.
- Analyze variances and root causes for deviations from the schedule.
Communication & Collaboration
- Act as the central point of contact for production scheduling effectively communicating schedule plans changes and impacts to Sales Customer Service Production and Purchasing departments.
- Facilitate daily/weekly production meetings to review schedules address issues and align departmental efforts.
Continuous Improvement
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to enhance scheduling processes reduce lead times and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation and workflow.

- Possess strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex/incomplete data.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
