Job Summary
Locum Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology
Join a dedicated team at a prominent outpatient radiation oncology facility located in Lapeer Michigan. This opportunity offers a supportive environment focused on patient care with the ideal candidate providing crucial physics support and ensuring quality in treatments. Youll be on-site for essential duties with the flexibility to work remotely on off-days.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform typical physics reviews for patient plans created by dosimetry.
- Analyze portal dosimetry for patient-specific QA.
- Coordinate with the radiation oncology team to ensure compliance with treatment plans.
- Provide QA work including machine and patient QA checks.
- Maintain familiarity with IMRT SBRT and SRS procedures.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of radiation oncology physics principles.
- Experience with Eclipse treatment planning software.
- Independent and self-motivated with the ability to work in a solo capacity.
- Ability to interpret and analyze dosimetry in accordance with established protocols.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board certification preferred (ABR CCPM no longer required).
- Local provider status required; only mileage will be reimbursed.
