Job Summary

Job Title: Locum Physician - Hematology Oncology

Summary: Join a dedicated team at an Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion Center located in Oxnard California. As a solo provider you will deliver outpatient chemotherapy and infusions with the support of a midlevel provider to assist with patient flow. This role offers no hospital consults and remote call options making it ideal for those seeking a balanced work-life environment. The facility provides comprehensive oncology services and ensures MD oversight for both the clinic and infusion services.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct all aspects of diagnosis staging precision medicine symptom management and treatment of hematology/oncology patients.
Oversee infusion center operations requiring MD presence for all treatments.
Provide chemotherapy immunotherapy blood/platelet transfusions hormone therapy antibiotic therapy rheumatoid arthritis injections and therapeutic phlebotomies.
Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Manage electronic medical records using iKnowmed and Cerner systems.
Participate in call coverage offering 24/7 support.

Qualifications:

Board Certification in Oncology and Hematology preferred; Board Eligible candidates may be considered.
Medical Oncology Fellowship required.
Active California medical license required.
Current DEA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Highly preferred: malpractice insurance coverage.

License and Certification Requirements:

Board Certification in Oncology and Hematology preferred.
Active State License (California).
Completed Medical Oncology Fellowship.
Current CA DEA BLS and ACLS certifications.
