This Position reports to:
IS Service OwnerABBs Process Automation business area enables customers to operate some of the worlds largest and most complex industrial infrastructures helping them outrun leaner and cleaner.
We offer a broad range of automation electrification and digital solutions for process hybrid and maritime industries including industry-specific integrated control and software as well as measurement and analytics solutions and services.
About the Role:
We are seeking a creative and ambitious Software and Data Engineer to join our team at ABB Process this role you will design develop and maintain data-driven applications and automation flows that support our global PCP and PA DWH operations. You will work across the full technology stackleveraging Python SQL Streamlit Power Platformto deliver scalable user-friendly solutions that enhance productivity traceability and data quality.
You will be part of a cross-functional team of data analytics and development experts collaborating closely with business stakeholders and reporting to the Head of Analytics & Master Data.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI Hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for:
Develop and maintain Snowflake Streamlit-based applications.
Create Power Apps and automate workflows for business users as well as data ingestion processes.
Develop a data engineering solution using Snowflake and Azure Data Factory to provide maintainable and secure data pipelines.
Create and maintain reusable Python libraries to accelerate and standardize Streamlit development as well internal built common framework.
Participate in infrastructure transitions adapting and testing scripts for compatibility.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements prioritize features and deliver robust scalable solutions.
Build and manage DevOps pipelines for streamlined development testing and deployment workflows.
Ensure data quality traceability and governance across all developed solutions.
Provide technical documentation and user training to ensure adoption and maintainability of solutions.
Monitor and optimize application performance and resource usage in cloud environments.
Design and implement REST API solutions to enable integration between internal tools and external systems
Support innovation initiatives such as ABB Accelerator and internal hackathons.
Qualifications for the role:
Advanced degree in Computer Science Engineering Data Science or a related field (Masters preferred).
Proficiency in Python SQL and Streamlit for full-stack application development.
Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps Power Automate) and Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with Snowflake Azure Blob Storage and data pipeline architecture.
Strong understanding of DevOps practices including code versioning testing and deployment workflows.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with a user-centric mindset.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and agile environments.
Excellent communication skills in English;
