What Youll Do:
The Ohio Industrial Commission (OIC) is seeking an experienced Electronic Design Specialist with considerable knowledge of computer-generated graphic design software visual communication services website/web page designs and a complete understanding of concept to production in design.
Under general supervision of the Chief Communications Officer
36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. electronic graphic design; 12 mos. exp. with hyper-text markup language for website/web page design &/or development.
-Or completion of associate core program in graphic visual communication technology or multimedia production technology; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. website/web page creation design &/or development.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in visual communications with emphasis on graphic design/industrial design &/or fine arts; 24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. website/web page creation design &./or development.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

This position is filled through an assessment consisting of a structured interview. The interview will be administered in person at the William Green Building in Columbus Ohio.
The hourly wage for this position is not negotiable. For applicants who are not current State of Ohio employees the starting wage will be the hourly rate listed on this posting. Successful employees will move up a step in the salary range within one year and in most cases within four to six months with subsequent step increases occurring annually.
For internal applicants the position will be filled pursuant to legislation or the provision of the OCSEA/AFSCME Contract.
