Job Description

Heres What You Need

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • Telemetry monitoring experience preferred

  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required

  • Basic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology

What You Will Do

  • Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.

  • Collects reports and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.

  • Seeks assistance supervision or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.

  • Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.

  • Processes admission and discharge or patients in system promptly. Prepares monitor for next patient admission.

  • Notifies patients primary RN promptly of any changes in patients monitor view.

  • Communicates promptly of perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance to co-workers nurses and physicians/providers.

  • Completes safety checklists and quality controls as required.

  • Assures that alarms are activated with appropriate settings and are sufficiently audible.

  • Cleans all monitors per manufacturers instructions after each use.

  • Reports equipment malfunction and/or failure immediately per escalation procedures.

  • Answers telephone intercom and/or Vocera timely and in a polite manner and communicates information to the appropriate party.

  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area in compliance with regulatory standards.

Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45pm 7:15am) Three 12-hour night shifts for 36 hours/week. Rotating Weekends and holiday requirements
