Location: Harlingen Medical Center (HMC) Texas
Department: Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
Assignment Dates: August 25 2025 December 6 2025
Schedule: 07:00 AM 4:30 PM No On-Call
The Cath Lab RN provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. This long-term assignment requires strong clinical judgment critical care experience and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity procedural environment.
Responsibilities-
Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations angioplasty and other interventional procedures.

Monitor and assess patients before during and after procedures.

Administer medications and maintain hemodynamic stability throughout the procedure.

Operate and troubleshoot specialized monitoring equipment.

Document patient care and procedures accurately in compliance with hospital policies.

Collaborate with physicians and the Cath Lab team to ensure quality outcomes.

Active RN license (Texas or Compact State) required.

Minimum 1 year of critical care or Cath Lab RN experience required.

Certifications: BLS and ACLS required and must be maintained.

Proficiency in monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data.

Prior Cath Lab or cardiovascular nursing experience strongly preferred.
