Job Description-
ServiceNow ITOM Developer (Event Management)
What you'll be doing:
Designing and setting up ServiceNow Event Management (alert rules event
mapping deduplication).
Creating rules to connect events stop annoying alerts and even auto-resolve
some incidents.
Hooking up ServiceNow Event Management with other monitoring tools like
SolarWinds Dynatrace Splunk etc.
Setting up "Connector Instances" and fixing MID Server issues.
Working with the CMDB and Discovery teams to make sure events link to the
right stuff.
Integrating Service Mapping with Event Management for better alert info.
Teaming up with Incident and Problem Management to sort out alert-to-incident
workflows.
Building custom dashboards and reports to see what's going on with events.
Troubleshooting and supporting ITOM solutions.
Making sure everything follows best practices and security.
Helping out with automation and other ITOM areas (Discovery Service Mapping
Cloud Management AIOps).
What you need to bring to the table:
3-6 years of ServiceNow development experience with at least 2 years
specifically in ITOM Event Management.
Solid grasp of ServiceNow ITOM architecture (Discovery Service Mapping
CMDB).
You're a pro at configuring Event Rules Alert Rules Alert Management and
Correlation Rules.
Hands-on experience connecting ServiceNow with enterprise monitoring tools.
Comfortable with JavaScript Glide APIs Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
Know your way around CMDB CI classes.
Great at troubleshooting MID Servers event connectors and third-party
integrations.
Experience with Performance Analytics for Event Management.
Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident Problem Change).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Bonus points if you have:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist ITOM (Event Management /
Discovery / Service Mapping).
Experience with AIOps / Predictive Intelligence in ServiceNow.
Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools (AWS CloudWatch Azure Monitor GCP
Operations).
