Role Overview

A top-tier financial institution is seeking a Consumer Compliance Audit Specialist to support audit and validation work across consumer banking products such as credit cards and deposit accounts. This is a contract-based opportunity for experienced professionals with a strong background in consumer compliance regulatory frameworks and internal control testing. The role focuses on assessing risk validating process enhancements and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards.

What Youll Do

Assist with the planning and execution of audits related to consumer compliance.
Conduct validation work around issues management complaint handling reporting and escalation processes.
Test the effectiveness of compliance controls and recommend improvements where needed.
Ensure internal policies align with external consumer compliance regulations.
Participate in risk assessments and evaluate control environments.
Document findings clearly and contribute to formal audit deliverables.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve identified issues.
Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and evolving compliance trends.

What Were Looking For

At least 6 years of experience in audit AML legal or compliance within the financial services industry.
Demonstrated expertise in consumer compliance particularly regarding credit cards and deposit accounts.
Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Bachelors degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
Willingness to travel if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or equivalent.
Familiarity with regulatory issue validation and internal compliance testing.
