Job Title: Wireless network validation Engineer

Location: Mossville IL

Client: Caterpillar

Job Description

Role will focus on wireless network validation testing for Caterpillar autonomous and remote-control applications. Technologies could range from wifi to both private LTE & private 5G cellular. Dynamic day to day role could have you working on multiple technologies based on demand.

3-5 years of route/switch core network experience
Cisco Wireless Lan Controller experience desired
Should understand Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum
Configuration and troubleshooting of outdoor wireless experience desired (deeper experience than cellular drive testing)
Mechanical capability is a nice to have (installing outdoor access points on solar trailers working with tools etc.)
Linux experience is nice to have
Experience with autonomous or remote-control system is a nice to have
Up to 25% travel as needed
