Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (OT) Travel Position
Location: Mesa AZ
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8s
Pay: $2365/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a healthcare facility in Mesa AZ on a travel contract. The OT will evaluate and treat patients requiring rehabilitation services to restore independence and improve their ability to perform daily living and work-related activities. The ideal candidate is compassionate detail-oriented and committed to enhancing patients quality of life through individualized therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient evaluations to assess functional abilities limitations and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals.
- Provide interventions focused on mobility coordination self-care and cognitive rehabilitation.
- Educate patients families and caregivers on therapy goals adaptive equipment and home programs.
- Document assessments treatment sessions and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain a safe supportive therapy environment and uphold infection control standards.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Arizona (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience preferably in rehab acute or long-term care settings.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- COVID vaccine and recent TB test.
- Strong communication problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Compassionate patient-focused approach to care.
