A Brief Overview
The Philanthropy Advisor is accountable for serving as a key member of the Avera Foundation. The Philanthropy Advisor is assigned to provide support to identified areas and projects within one of Avera Foundations four departments: Development Community Giving Operations or Prospect Research & Strategy.
What you will do
- Functions as subject matter expert for assigned projects.
- May serve as lead for initiatives or primary relationship manager for assigned constituents or Avera Partners for ongoing fundraising and campaigns.
- Partners with colleagues on projects specific to the Avera Foundation department they are assigned to serve.
- Establishes annual goals and objectives for projects and initiatives.
- Assist with the planning coordinating and implementing of initiatives that increase philanthropic investment.
- Joins meetings as appropriate for updates on fundraising philanthropy projects and campaigns.
- Attends and supports the needs of special event functions.

Required Education License/Certification or Work Experience:
- Drivers License - Licensing Board Upon Hire
Preferred Education License/Certification or Work Experience:
- Bachelors
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) - CFRE International Upon Hire
- 4-6 years of philanthropy and related work
