About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical outcomes mentoring junior engineers and helping to shape the future of our business.
This role offers variety
- On site (FIFO/DIDO) working directly with clients to provide engineering support and solve operational challenges.
- In projects collaborating with MEC colleagues to deliver mine planning solutions schedules and reports.
What you will be doing
- Solving moderate to complex mining problems autonomously and providing practical solutions.
- Developing mine plans designs and schedules using leading software.
- Delivering high-quality timely outputs that meet client expectations and MECs standards.
- Engaging directly with clients to understand needs identify issues early and build long-term relationships.
- Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers.
- Identifying opportunities for business improvement and contributing to industry networking and business development.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
- 6 years post-graduate experience including at least 3 years on site.
- Background in surface metals with exposure to design scheduling drill & blast or grade control.
- Strong mine planning and scheduling skills.
- Confident in Vulcan and/or Alastri suite (Deswik Ventsim Micromine Spry experience also valued).
