Sessional Lecturer – Applied Management

Auckland International Campus (AIC) in partnership with Future Skills Academy is a dynamic and progressive tertiary provider located in Auckland CBD.

We are on the hunt for Sessional Lecturers with tertiary teaching &/or industry experience to teach courses within our Master of Applied Management (MAM). This position is starting on Block 4 2025 (6 October 2025).

This position is on a contract for service based at our Auckland city campus and the successful candidate will depend on their relevant skills and experience. This role will involve (but not limited to):

• Developing preparing and effectively using delivery plans and materials
• Updating and delivering the teaching content using innovative approaches with focus on experiential learning including the use of the Learning Management System (Moodle) and MS Teams
• Marking and moderation of assessments
• Effectively working and collaborating with other lecturers and teams on content and professional development
• Anticipating being receptive to and referring student related problems as they affect students to relevant departments

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with the below skills and experience where they are able to deliver high quality outcomes:

• Qualification in a relevant field preferably at level 9 or above (PhD) is preferable
• Teaching qualification is an advantage
• Teaching experience at tertiary level in New Zealand in the management and/or information systems area
• Specialisation in data analytics is essential
• Relevant industry experience and networks
• Extensive skills and knowledge in the tools and technologies related to the above areas
• Ability to work positively with diverse learners being supportive and empathetic to their needs
• Ability to work collegially with academic staff
• Awareness and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi
