Job Description:

As a Merchandiser you will be driving the business by creating the right product offer in the right function & seasonality at the right time at the points of sale.

You ensure the promotion and availability of the product is optimal to drive sell-through and maximize profitability. You will have a focus on merchandising and maintain a strong relationship on different levels of the brands organization.

• Japan Merchandising Planning Team

• Japan e-commerce team

• Japan Communication and Marketing Team

• Japan Retail Team

• Japan MD Operation Team

• US Merchandising Team

• Korea Merchandising Team

External Relationship

• Licensees( Fossil Herman Kay etc.. )

Main Responsibilities

Buying:

• Responsible for developing the merchandise plans based on local needs in cooperation with merchandising planning team. Ensures the right balance between demand drivers volume drivers and strategic initiatives.

• Execute assortment plans to meet seasonal sales and margin targets

• Negotiate with US merchandising to get appropriate products for local market

In-season:

• Responsible for Floor Plan to keep brand appropriate store looking. Also Focusing inventory management with MDP based on KPIs and sell-through information.

• Takes responsibility for the local retail price setting based on local competitor pricing.

• To develop markdown and pricing recommendations based on floorplan and inventory positioning with MDP.

Reporting:

• Analyze and create weekly/monthly/seasonal/yearly reporting and read out overall performance drivers and weakness.

Additional tasks as needed

Requirements

• Degree in business studies and distinctive analytical planning skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Retail/Brand business (ideally in a Retail and Merchandise function)

• Specific experience in Merchandising (ideally in a fashion brand)

• Fluent in English (verbal and written)

• Strong experience in Excel

• Analytical skills
