Enrollment Coordinator I: The EC I position is designed as the entry level position for the MT One Stop and is phase 1 of a 3-tier progression plan. The incumbent is assigned to the front desk of the MT One Stop to serve as the primary point of contact for students seeking assistance in initial enrollment ongoing retention and provide general assistance with transactions related to any of the enrollment services areas. Essential tasks include: answer general questions and problem solve across all enrollment management areas that include: bursar financial aid academic processes & residency scheduling and records. Must understand the interrelationships among these areas; be able to assess the students initial inquiry; discern co-related issues and resolve; or seek the advice/transfer the student to an Enrollment Coordinator II for assistance and resolution. The incumbent will learn and maintain a general understanding of MTSU Board of Trustees Federal guidelines academic policies and procedures financial aid processing and scheduling and is expected to perform other related tasks or special projects as assigned.
Enrollment Coordinator II/III: The Enrollment Coordinator II/III combines elements of multiple positions across Enrollment Management that includes: Admissions Financial Aid Scheduling Records and Bursars office including the coordination of knowledge and abilities to function in the MT One Stop. Engage in early interactions and structured yield activities designed to increase the probability of admitted students becoming enrolled and retained and continue to serve as a coordinator for all enrollment related activities throughout a students enrollment until graduation. Be proficient in providing detailed advice and counsel to students about MTSU TBR and Federal guidelines academic policies/procedures financial aid processing and scheduling in each instance determining what options are best for a given student. Must be able to answer questions and offer effective problem resolution across all enrollment management areas understanding the interrelationships between and among these areas. Participate in recruitment activities such as True Blue Tours and Preview Days to provide information about enrollment and financial aid; and work at the CUSTOMS registration check-in table to assist students to determine if they are eligible for registration waivers/immunization extensions etc. Serve as a financial aid counselor to determine the need for financial aid intervention; advising students regarding the application process for various sources of financial aid assistance outstanding requirements the verification process and potential eligibility. They provide information regarding financial aid consortium agreements financial aid deferments financial aid appeals and other financial aid resources available and assist the student as needed. Calculate bills for students during late registration periods and must have a continuous knowledge base of appropriate tuition and fee rates contingent on the students status at time of registration; processes course registrations course additions course drops and late registrations informing students in each of these transactions of the implications of the decisions and make residency adjustments/determinations. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Occasional night and weekend work is required.
Enrollment Coordinator I: Bachelors degree required. Note: A high school diploma or HSE and four years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelors degree.
Enrollment Coordinator II/III: Bachelors degree in social services field student affairs psychology communications education or related area. Masters degree preferred.
Enrollment Coordinator I: Entry level position; training will be provided.
Enrollment Coordinator II: One (1) year progressively responsible experience in the MT One Stop.
Enrollment Coordinator III: Three (3) years at MT One Stop as an Enrollment Coordinator with two (2) years as an Enrollment Coordinator II.
Enrollment Coordinator I: Prior experience in a student leadership position paraprofessional experience (tutoring mentoring RA SOA etc.) or significant student employment in an advising enrollment orientation or student affairs office preferred.
Enrollment Coordinator II/III: Three (3) plus years progressively responsible experience in any of the One Stop enrollment services areas i.e. financial aid student affairs enrollment services advising center records scheduling center bursar preferred.
