Join our ARCHES team to help provide basic needs and housing services to those experiencing homelessness. The Program Coordinator III is a Full-Time benefitted position working 40 hours weekly.
The ARCHES Project operates a Day Center for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness. The Program Coordinator will aim to create a unified system within the center whereby basic needs and housing services are provided to the unsheltered population.
This position will coordinate Reception and Day Center services being responsible for: facilitating daily operations under Senior Program Management purchasing and ordering of supplies upholding program data collection & reporting collaborating with Day Center and Reception area staff training volunteers and interns assisting with program planning geared towards expansion of Day Center service offerings coordinating and planning enrichment opportunities as well as the provision of client centered and trauma informed care.
Minimum Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required of this position.
Education/Experience
A Bachelors Degree in Human Services or a related field; two years case management or social service experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideal candidates will possess an advanced degree with three or more years of homeless service delivery experience and mental health certifications and/or licensing. Preferences given to applicants who have completed Certified Peer Support Specialist training and/or are CPR & First aid trained.
Certificates Licenses Registrations
- Valid driver license and insured vehicle available for use on the job. Satisfactory drive record for previous three years.
- Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment.
- Must obtain Food Handlers Card.
- Bilingual English Spanish speaking capabilities are preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for handling office equipment.
- Employee will be on their feet the majority of the work day.
Work Environment
- Close quarters often with a client population experiencing homelessness substance use disorders and/or severe and persistent mental illness and/or unpredictable behavior.
- Indoor work environment with frequent interruptions and demands.
- Exposure to trash and potential biohazards.
- Variable and flexible work hours.
- Potential risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other conditions. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as face coverings may be required.
