The Opportunity

TC Energy is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Calgary AB to support our efforts in Energy Problem Solving and our daily operations.

We are seeking students enrolled in a Faculty of Law in Canada leading to a J.D. or LL.B. to support our Power & Energy Solutions and Corporate Development Law legal team. Our team provides legal advice and support to the non-regulated power operations power and natural gas commercial marketing and acquisitions divestitures and business development projects.

We engage our students in the very core of our operations. As a valued member of the team youll do exciting challenging work solve real world problems and make a meaningful impact. Youll learn about the business and build your professional network by working closely with other skilled people at TC Energy. Every day will enhance your knowledge skills and passion for what you do.

Term length is 4 months.

What youll do

• Conducting research and drafting legal memoranda on issues arising in various power projects commercial marketing and corporate development transactions
• Review of contracts assisting with contract interpretation matters and creating summaries
• Assisting in drafting non-disclosure agreements term sheets and preparing due diligence materials in connection with projects and transactions under the guidance of senior lawyers in the legal group
• Carrying out other tasks as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Canadian JD or LLB degree program and must have completed first year of law school prior to May 2026
• Enrollment at an accredited University and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term

• Enthusiasm for using approved AI programs for tasks requested by the legal team
