Summary
As a Field Crane Inspector you will be a vital team member performing routine inspections in the overhead crane industry. Your core diagnostics skills will be essential in maintaining inspecting and servicing cranes efficiently. Join our team and develop your technical and mechanical expertise in crane maintenance and inspection in a dynamic work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Position focused primarily on inspections.
- Ability to complete electronic forms in a timely manner.
- Work at heights up to 80 feet with AWP (manlift).
- Willingness to learn mechanical electrical and industrial skills.
- Must have strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Travel as needed on occasion.
- 1 year of mechanical background service technician or relevant trade experience a plus (electrical mechanical etc.).
- Developmental opportunities to repair upgrade/modify install/wire/startup and commission overhead cranes (all manufacturers and types).
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record a must.
- Pay commensurate with experience Must be mechanically inclined.
- Fabrication and rigging a plus.
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Working knowledge of general electrical concepts a plus.
- Works well independently and as a productive member of a team.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
- Ability to push/pull material with equipment assistance.
- Must not be afraid of heights.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Must have manual dexterity to repair/inspect a crane including bending stooping crawling twist reach climbing and reaching.
- Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).
- Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
- Must wear safety glasses gloves and ear and fall protection
